VIDEO: The Border Town of Mae Sai, Thailand

Welcome to the northern town in Thailand, Mae Sai.

It’s a border market town where you will see countless people and vendors crossing the border to Myanmar from car, bus or foot over. It cost 10 or even 500 Baht USD a individual, if you would like to do it bring your passport. Till you return to Thailand Even the Thai officials will hold your passport.

Here you may find everything from fruits, vegetables, clothes, antiques, toys and even wine. I opted to try a few and they were yummy! If you’re starving you can find some amazing street food all.

You can have an image at the sign marking the northern most point in Thailand In the event you decide not to cross into Myanmar. It’s a one hour drive north west and leaves for a simple day trip if you’re in Chiang Rai. I would suggest seeing with the Mae Sai and the Golden Triangle to the same day.
