Take a Look at the 10 Things to Do in Curacao
My guide and I made the boat trip north to Galibi after arriving in the riverside town of Albina, Suriname, which is located opposite French Guiana across the banks of the Maroni River. There, we would have some Surinamese seafood that is remarkable and search for some leatherback turtles! I could not wait to begin the next leg of the Surinamese experience!

My boy friend Imro from Jenny Tours plus I started by driving through Albina to find some gasoline for our ship driver. I needed to be cautious to not really film the people; it isn’t really liked by them.

We came at the petrol station. I’d never been to you like it. It was right and also had a fantastic opinion of French Guyana round the globe! French Guyana’s lush greenery needed a true jungle sense and the entire area reminded me. We bought 55 gallons of gasoline for a bit under $47 USD, or even 350 SRD. The vessel driver contracted to ferry us.
Albina blew my mind. Along with Africa, it reminded me of particular locations in India as well. The beach was littered with the exception of lots of boats along with a tree. Our trip would take two hours and I didn’t wish to burnoff, so I changed to a mild, long-sleeved shirt to cover my arms.
Me amazed with a Parbo Bier after we put off. It was nice and cold! And after a ride, with water we came in Galibi! This was far off the beaten path!
I came at my cottage for the night, which comprised a bed. It was all that I wanted. Then, we headed to go see Imro’s girlfriend, who was cooking a few wild Surinamese seafood! We walked to get there and passed a lot of parked boats along the way. Our boat driver had attracted alcohol, totes, and our water, so we carried them the rest of the way.
Along with India and Africa, I was also reminded by Galibi of Tortuguero in Costa Rica.
It had the identical sense that is Caribbean-like!
After we came, we found lots of food cooking: wild boar in curry crab a soup , neighborhood crab, crab brains, and casaba sausage and bread. The soup was and the boar beef was tasty, tender, along with gamy but filled with bones. It turned out to be a mild soup with a kick to it!
Next was that the casaba bread, which was crunchy and hard, with a few broth and boar. The casaba grains were earthy and hard. The neighborhood rose was fantastic to wash it all down! Village foods that is local is the best! The variety blew me off!
Following were the crab minds, and that you eat by dipping the casaba bread and adding a bit of salt. It was not my favorite and was slimy and gelatinous. The curry crab has been yummy and succulent but not hot. It required some effort!
The crab was fleshy and buttery. The last thing I went for was that the claw, which was filled with flesh! This meal has been such a fantastic example of fish that is amazing!
Imro found a tarantula in a tree! We took another path back to the guest house. In which there are a lot of creatures including jaguars In route, we passed on a jungle!
I got snapper with rice , and hot fish soup at a tomato sauce. The broth was creamy and hot as ever and the fish’s flesh was buttery! I needed to split the up fish to eliminate the bones. Even after that, I needed to be careful when eating it!
I broke the snapper up . I had to consider bones, although the tomato sauce has been amazing. All in all was yet another case of amazing seafood. I could not get enough of it!
At I headed out to search for leatherback turtles! We utilized a light so no critters would be disturbed by us. In 3 months, we just saw a few birds and a caiman. I suggest seeing between February (the beginning of sea turtle nesting season) and May for your best opportunity to see these majestic creatures.
I hope you enjoyed coming to Galibi along with me! If you did, then please provide the video a thumbs up, leave a comment, also join so you do not miss any of my upcoming travel/food adventures!
